I have taught at UCI since 2011. Before that I earned a BA in English and a Masters degree in Fiction Writing. I like playing video games, hiking, bodysurfing, and eating sushi. My scholarly interests include gamification, internet trolls, nuclear proliferation, and memes. My Instagram algorithm consistently serves me reels of sad little frogs and benign fireworks mishaps.
