Imagination isn’t a luxury, especially in a world that faces the kind of environmental, political, ethical and educational challenges at our doorstep. Imagination is a necessity to think beyond the expected. To ask questions that push at the boundaries of the status quo. The Power of Imagination is a call to action to the broader UC Irvine community to draw upon their imagination as a way of knowing, and acting in, our world. Congratulations to the School of Humanities for their award-winning banner series, The Power of Imagination. The School was awarded a 2025 bronze medal in design from The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for their on-campus banner campaign. With hanging banners that illustrate topics from thinking to ethics to storytelling to nature and much more, The Power of Imagination campaign boldly interprets the new UC Irvine branding to encourage imagination as a way of knowing and acting in the world. CASE judges declared the banners “fantastic, standing out vibrantly with bold graphics and colors.”
