Global Languages & Cultures (GLC) is a dynamic and multifaceted unit housed in the UC Irvine School of Humanities. GLC is home to the Global Cultures program, which is one of the most popular and fastest growing majors in the School and a top-choice double major for students across campus. We also offer courses in a range of languages (Arabic, Filipino, Persian, and Vietnamese) along with a variety of courses in academic English for multilingual students. The Program is home to a range of initiatives, including the Global Horizons program, the Intercultural Communication VR Research Lab, and the TOEP, which provides international graduate students who plan to become teaching assistants with an assessment program and support tutorials.

Our main program office is located in the Humanities Instructional Building (HIB), room 335. Some of our administrative staff are also located in HIB 443.
