Rev. Dr. Rob Muthiah will join our upper-division fall class on Topics in Jain Studies: Nonviolent Theories and Practices on Thursday, Nov. 20. Dr. Muthiah will introduce the work of CLUE (Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice) in Los Angeles/Orange County, including its roots in James Lawson's civil rights Christian pacifism and recent examples of their interfaith human and labor rights actions. Attendees will also get an intro to CLUE's deescalation training.

Because there are limited seats in the room in addition to enrolled students, please RSVP to Prof. Brianne Donaldson by b.donaldson@uci.edu by Nov. 18.
