I've been teaching in the Composition program and Humanities Core Course since 1995. My composition courses have focused on fairy tales, Westerns, and science fiction. At the moment my interest is in the way scienfce fiction deploys the concepts of the "human" and the "alien" to explore issues of gender and race.
