UCI Latin American Film Festival 2025
For over 17 years, faculty and students in the Spanish and Portuguese department have organized a Latin American Film Festival featuring recent Latin American films which have not been commercially released in the United States. Each film is introduced by a presenter who facilitates the always lively discussions that follow each screening.
Curated by Jacobo Sefamí, Viviane Mahieux, Fernanda Hernández Paredes, and Raúl Romo, the 2025 UCI Latin American Film Festival offers an immersive exploration of Latin American cinema. Join us for screenings on March 4, April 3, April 10, and April 17, 2025. Co-sponsored by the Department of Film and Media Studies, the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese.
Over four days, attendees enjoy captivating in-person screenings, each followed by insightful discussions with experts and film enthusiasts.
This event is free and open to the public.
