Darby Price in front of blue wall

Darby Price has been a Lecturer at UC Irvine since 2016. She has taught across the curriculum in the Writing Series, and specializes in WR 45/50 and WR 60. Her most recently developed themes are Rhetoric of the Devil (WR 45/50) and Information & Influence (WR 60), and her favorite thing to do as an instructor is help students see familiar texts and patterns in a brand new way. Darby earned her MFA in Poetry at George Mason University, and her debut, the lyric memoir All the Lands We Inherit (Black Lawrence Press), was released in June 2025. Her poetry has appeared in Beloit Poetry Journal, Redivider, Zócalo Public Square, and Cimarron Review, among others. In her spare time, she likes to bake, listen to audiobooks, and binge-watch a good SciFi/Fantasy show (currently, Star Trek: The Next Generation).
