Apply Now to the Winter/Spring 2027 History Advanced Research Seminar

We are now accepting applications for HIST 193/194: Advanced Research Seminar. 

The UCI History Department's Advanced Research Seminar is a two-quarter research course for upper-division history students and others with a strong background in historical study who are interested in learning advanced research skills and completing a capstone research paper on a topic of their choice.

This course can be found in the catalog as History 193 & History 194 and will be taught in Winter 2027 & Spring 2027 by Professor Heidi Tinsman. Students must complete both quarters of the seminar.

Winter 2027 Class Time: Tuesday, 10:00am-12:50pm

This application for the History Department's Advanced Research Seminar should be completed by Friday, November 6 at 5:00PM.

Eligibility: Upper-division History Majors. Non-History Majors will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
