Professor Liu is recognized at number 66 as a “Thinker - Writer and critical theorist opposing artworld elitism” whose book Virtue Hoarders has become a “much-discussed … polemic against pseudo-radical liberal politics.” Her charismatic polemic against the Professional Managerial Class’s empty gestures of virtue signaling and performative identities advocates, instead, for renewed vanguardism—both for artists and the working class.
