The Humanities Center and the Global Southeast Asia Research Cluster welcome Dr. Carrie Perkins as a two-year Emerging Voices Fellow postdoctoral scholar, funded by the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS), A cultural anthropologist, Dr. Perkins' research on repatriation of Karen refugees on the Thai-Myanmar border will contribute to the development of Southeast Asian Studies at UCI.
