The MFA Programs in Writing presents a reading by:

 

Leah Naomi Green, author of The More Extravagant Feast (Graywolf Press, 2020), selected by Li-Young Lee for the Walt Whitman Award of the Academy of American Poets. She is the recipient of a 2021 Treehouse Climate Action Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets, as well as the 2021 Lucille Clifton Legacy Award. Her chapbook, The Ones We Have, received the 2012 Flying Trout Chapbook prize. Her work has appeared in or is forthcoming from The Paris ReviewTin HousePoem-a-Day, The Virginia Quarterly ReviewThe Southern ReviewOrionShenandoah, Ecotone, and Pleiades. She is currently the Sherwood Anderson Distinguished Visiting Writer in Poetry at Guilford College.

 

Aria Aber’s debut book Hard Damage won the Prairie Schooner Book Prize in Poetry and was published in September 2019. Her poems are forthcoming or have appeared in The New Yorker, New Republic, Kenyon Review, The Yale Review, Poem-A-Day, Narrative, Muzzle Magazine, Wasafiri and elsewhere. A graduate from the NYU MFA in Creative Writing, where she was the Writers in Public Schools Fellow, she holds awards and fellowships from Kundiman, Dickinson House, and the Wisconsin Institute of Creative Writing. She is the recipient of a 2020 Whiting Award in Poetry and is currently a Wallace Stegner Fellow in Poetry at Stanford University.

Noah Warren is the author of The Complete Stories, published by Copper Canyon in 2021, and The Destroyer in the Glass, chosen by Carl Phillips for the 2016 Yale Series of Younger Poets. His work has been supported by fellowships from Yale, Stanford, The New Literary Project, and the Arts Research Center. He is a PhD candidate in English at UC Berkeley, where he coordinates the Lunch Poems Reading Series
