DHX Reading Group: Theorizing Generative AI in Education

In a 2024 issue of the PMLA, Matthew Kirschenbaum and Rita Raley warned of the consequences of generative AI tech adoption for the educational mission of the university. How can we now think through the current state (and possible futures) of humanities pedagogy as praxis? We’ll take as spurs to conversation one reading from the field of critical studies in education and an industry report from Google.
