The Digital Humanities Exchange (DHX) welcomes faculty, students, and staff to our fall reception. DHX fosters connections and collaboration among scholars interested in the intersections of the humanities and the digital, including the use of computational methods for humanities research, the building of digital collections to share and sustain knowledge, and the critical-cultural analysis of big data and artificial intelligence. This kickoff meeting will double as the year's first installment of our Critical Data Studies reading group. We'll discuss selections from Aaron Benanav's Automation and the Future Work in preparation for his guest lecture at UCI on 10/17.
RSVP by 10/7 at this form.
Contact: Ricky Crano (rcrano@uci.edu) for more details or to join the DHX mailing list (hum-dh@uci.edu).
