“Anti-Sisyphus, or Anti-Blackness and Suicide: Outline of an Afropessimist Thanatology," presents an outline of an Afropessimist thanatology that interrogates the assumptive logics of psychology, psychiatry, and psychoanalysis (reason, bio-centricity, subjectivity, respectively) as well as the regime-of-truth grounding the field of sociological suicidology (mathematization and vitalism) by expressing and analyzing the anxiety of antagonism presented by the figural positionality of the suicidal Black Slave.
