To Enroll in a Chinese Language Course: Must complete a Chinese placement assessment at http://humanities.uci.edu/placement/chinese and the Chinese test can be taken anytime.
Oral Interview via Zoom:

For students who complete placement tests, oral interviews (one-on-one speaking test) will be offered from 1:00-1:30PM on Thursday, February 25 via Zoom. Please email Hidemi Riggs, Japanese Coordinator, hriggs@uci.edu for the Zoom link.
Korean:
After the test, appear for a Faculty Oral Interview to get your placement and obtain authorization to register for Korean class. Interview is offered via Zoom on February 25th, 2:00-5:00 PM (PT). Please email Hyunyoung Hyun, Korean Language Program Coordinator, at hhyun@uci.edu no later than February 24th, 12:00 PM (PT) to make an appointment for interview. Please attach your language background survey form when you email Hyun. Be sure to get your student ID card ready at the time of the interview.
Chinese:
Oral interviews will be from 12:00-1:00pm (weekdays) during this school year. You can send an email to rhsieh@uci.edu to schedule the oral interview. In the email write your request
with a specific date and one of the following time slots: 12:00, 12:15,12:30, or 12:45pm.
