Heidi Tinsman has been appointed as the new director of the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at UC Irvine. Tinsman is a professor of history whose research focuses on gender and labor in modern Latin America and the Americas. Her scholarship reflects a strong interdisciplinary approach and deep engagement with the region.
