The UCI Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies invites applications for the Fernando and Olga Niebla Latinx/Hispanic Studies Graduate Fellowships for summer research or writing.

Deadline: Beginning of spring quarter
Notification: End of spring quarter
Award amount: two awards of $2,500 each
Eligibility: PhD candidates working on Latin America (including Brazil), the Caribbean, and US-Latinx studies.
Fields: Humanities or Social Sciences/Social Ecology using humanistic approaches and methodologies.
Requirements: Project description (two page maximum); CV (one page maximum)
Disbursement: Fellowships are disbursed in July of the academic year and should be used towards research travel, dissertation writing or other activities that allow the student to advance his/her career during the summer.
