The panel will bring together perspectives on multilingual education, writing pedagogy, bilingual and heritage language education, and related questions of language and learning in global contexts. Each panelist will offer approximately 15 minutes of remarks, followed by moderated discussion and audience Q&A.

Speaker: Sebastian Hsien-hao Liao, Emeritus Professor, National Taiwan University
Respondent: R. Radhakrishnan, Distinguished Professor of English and Comparative Literature, UCI
 
Professor Liao will give a lecture of approximately 30-40 minutes, followed by a response from Professor Radhakrishnan and audience discussion and Q&A.
