Unit 18 faculty members play a crucial role at UC Irvine and within the School of Humanities, where their expertise and dedication to teaching excellence directly impact student success. The Unit 18 Faculty Professional Development Award provides vital support for professional development opportunities that enhance teaching effectiveness and pedagogical innovation among non-Senate faculty. 

This year, 36 faculty members across campus have been recognized by UCI and the UC-AFT Council on Professional Development, with an impressive 19 recipients coming from the School of Humanities.
