Mohammad Rafi (Ph.D.) is currently a Lecturer in German and European Studies at UC Irvine. He was previously a visiting scholar at the Jordan Center for Persian Studies. His articles on Iran and Heidegger have been translated into Persian, German, and Norwegian. His research has been sponsored by the UC Chancellor’s Office and the Thyssen Foundation. His most recent research focuses on nationalism and political ideology in Germany.
