Amy's research focuses on satire, humor, and science fiction in early modern and modern Chinese literature. She is particularly interested in the parody of gender, social change, and religion in Chinese satirical novels, humor periodicals, and joke books. Beyond comedic value, she is interested in exploring the popularity and censorship of comedy.
