Join us for the launch of a new poetry collection that reflects on writing in Western Armenian in the diaspora, where the language serves both as a means of expression and a trusted interlocutor. Moving across memories of Syria and Lebanon, the landscapes of Armenia and Artsakh, and contemporary life in the United States, the poems weave together exile, politics, and intellectual self-reflection to offer a meditation on language and belonging. 

The author, Vania Apkarian will be in conversation with the Yerevan-based writer and visual artist, Anahit Ghazaryan, who edited the project.

The program will take place in Armenian.

Կը հրաւիրենք ձեզ ներկայ գտնուելու բանաստեղծական նոր ժողովածուի մը շնորհանդէսին։ Բխրուն Գերդաստան կը ներկայացնէ սփիւռքի մէջ արևմտահայերէնով ստեղծագործելու նիւթը ու լեզուն կը սահմանէ  թէ՛ իբր արտայայտման միջոց և թէ՛ իբր վստահելի զրուցակից։ Սուրիայի և Լիբանանի յիշողութիւններու, Հայաստանի և Արցախի բնապատկերներու, ինչպէս նաեւ Միացեալ Նահանգներու ժամանակակից կեանքին առնչուելով՝ բանաստեղծութիւնները կը միահիւսեն աքսորի, պատկանելիութեան քաղաքականութեան, եւ լեզուի մասին մտորումներ։
 
Գիրքին հեղինակ՝ Վանիա Աբգարեանին պիտի միանայ Երևանաբնակ գրող և տեսողական արուեստագէտ՝ Անահիտ Ղազարյանը, որ խմբագրած է հաւաքածոն։
