A book-event with author Dalia Dassa Kaye
Moderated by Jeffrey Wasserstrom
In-person event
This event will introduce material from and update the arguments in the author's late 2025 Stanford University Press book that has gained a special urgency in the months since its publication. How can we place the war underway now in Iran into historical perspective? What is similar and different about Washington's military moves against Iran and the wars that the U.S. has been involved in during previous decades and has fought recently in other parts of the world? These questions, which could not be more timely, will be among those taken up at this book launch.
