At the Humanities Center, we approach graduate student mentorship through an engaged and expansive understanding of the meaning of mentorship. We understand mentorship in the humanities as assisting UCI humanities PhD students in building relationships and connections that broaden professional (academic and industry) inquiry and networks, provide space to explore multidisciplinary interests and career paths, and to create meaningful forms of collaborative mentorship.
