Undergraduates who want to earn academic credit while learning about sustainability and doing hands on sustainability-focused research on campus are encouraged to apply. It is a year-long internship with progressively increasing responsibility and opportunities. This year, one batch of interns learned how to grow food and community in UCI's 6 urban gardens. Another batch learned how to measure food waste in the dorms and how to engage fellow students about food sustainability and equity. Internships for next year's cohort will include these and an expanded menu of project options.
