Oregon Tech Steel Bridge Team Wins National Title! The team won • 1st place in the supplemental competition (beating UC Berkeley and 7 other teams documenting and presenting their design, competition added this year) and • 10th place (out of 25) overall in the compete from campus competition (constructing the bridge for time and load testing, the traditional competition). The team is also the recipient of the 2021 Oregon Tech Pride Award.

Last Saturday, the Oregon Tech Student Veterans Program rallied in support of the community by gathering at the downtown Klamath Falls Veterans Memorial Park for a massive cleanup effort. During the cleanup, the SVP collected trash in the park area, pressure washed the memorial structures, and cleaned and polished plaques. The student comradery and community support are an inspiration and we are proud of their continued compassion.

The spring 2021 Oregon Tech Project Symposium is a highly anticipated event, which allows the public to view the highly inventive and innovative projects Oregon Tech students are creating. Held virtually this year, the symposium includes more than 30 projects, across eight different departments and is currently live at www.oit.edu/academics/student-project-symposium.

And just like that, my clinical externship is DONE! It has been a crazy, challenging, wonderful, overwhelming, fantastic year full of personal and professional growth. Anyone who knows me can assume (correctly) that I’m feeling allllll the emotions today, so I’ll keep it short…ish and simple…ish. I want to say the biggest thank you to my family. For letting me cry and telling me not to give up on the hard days, and celebrating my victories with me on the good days. And for believing in me every day in between.
