Awarded a CASE Best of District Award in 2024, Generations Unite is an intergenerational storytelling series that trains undergraduate humanities studies to interview and write profiles that highlight the career trajectories and life experiences of School of Humanities alumni.
First launched in late Spring 2023, the largely student-written series profiles alumni in 1,000-word articles for inclusion in the School’s monthly newsletter and on social media platforms. It was created to address the need for stronger and more consistent alumni engagement, including alumni network development, and help buttress a public-facing conversation about career outcomes for humanities students. In this way, it’s part of a larger communications strategy focused on broadening the narrative around professional outcomes for humanities majors and PhDs. Developed as part of a student mentoring program, the series employs current students as part of a professional communications mentoring program.
