Biography

My research examines intersecting systems of racial and economic inequalities, policing, social movements and resistance, and mass incarceration and the ways in which they impact and affect people of color in urban centers such as Los Angeles. I aim to investigate the spatial politics of policing and its intersection with sporting events, urban spaces, and racial injustice in California from the mid-twentieth century to the present.
