Project Success! is for students who are having difficulty passing Academic English 20 writing coursework. The project is a Writing Center-Academic English Program initiative. Those students who have failed Academic English courses are invited to join the initiative have three consultations with a Project Success! writing specialist or an Academic English lecturer. They receive encouragement and personal attention and this helps to motivate them to improve their writing. Their Success! facilitator checks in with them on their progress passing Academic English 20 and the development of their writing. A recent analysis shows that the overwhelming majority of Project Success! students who participate in all three tutorial sessions are able to pass the Academic English 20 writing course in which they are enrolled.
