Graduate students are invited to attend a lunch-time discussion with Jordy Rosenberg, professor of 18th c. transatlantic literature (U Mass Amherst), author of Critical Enthusiasm: Capital Accumulation and the Transformation fo Religious Passion as well as the speculative-historical fiction Confessions of the Fox, and a scholar of queer theory and Marxism; of primitive accumulation and dispossession; of religion and rebellion. We will be discussing Prof. Rosenberg’s public-facing theoretical writing, specifically “Gender Trouble on Mother’s Day” (Avldly) and “The Daddy Dialectic” (LARB).
