The Department of History at the University of California, Irvine announces part time, non-tenure-track lecturer position for the 2021-2022 academic year. We are seeking candidates with strong teaching credentials who can contribute to our undergraduate program in the following area:

History 132D: Armenians and Armenia in Ancient to Early Modern World History (Winter 2022)
A history of Armenia and Armenians from ethnogenesis to the early modern period at the end of the 1700s within a regional and global context. Takes into account interactions and encounters with the empires, and peoples that encompassed their orbit.

The department will create a pool of candidates and will make selections when the final budget is approved. The salary is $7047.63 per course (based on an annual 9-month salary of $56,381.00).

Requirements: Ph.D. strongly preferred in a field appropriate to the course and teaching experience at the college level. Flexibility and ability to lecture in-person or in a hybrid fashion, as department and university protocol require. Familiarity with CANVAS and Zoom or willingness to take UCI training modules prior to the beginning of the course.
