StoryMaps: making maps

 Humanities Center     Aug 20 2020 | 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Zoom

Are you interested in creating visual narratives that include images and custom maps? A story can effect change, influence opinion, and create awareness—and maps can be an integral and powerful dimension of storytelling.

The UCI School of Humanities has acquired a limited number of licenses that will allow many of us to try this mode of presenting our research through ESRI StoryMaps, an ArcGIS tool that harnesses the technology of digital mapping and combines it with narrative possibilities.

Join us for a 6-part workshop THIS SUMMER covering how to use ESRI StoryMaps to tell compelling stories. For more information contact kaned@uci.edu or please see the website (https://guides.lib.uci.edu/storymaps.)

Not sure whether ESRI StoryMaps is for you? Check out some of the examples included in the link above. And let your scholarly imagination run wild ;-)
