A Reading and Author Talk with Xue Yiwei

Xue Yiwei is a highly regarded Chinese writer based in Montreal, Canada. “A maverick in contemporary Chinese literature” (Ha Jin), he received a BA in Computer Science, a MA in English Literature, and a PhD in Linguistics. A charismatic literary stylist, he has published five novels and many collections of short stories on a wide range of topics, often with pointed reflection on recent Chinese history.
