"Being Multilingual, Meaning Multilingual": Featured Talk by R. Radhakrishnan

R. Radhakrishnan, or “Radha,” is Chancellor’s Professor of Humanities and Distinguished Professor of English and Comparative Literature at UC Irvine. An international expert of critical theory, his publications include numerous authored or edited books, such as Theory after Derrida (Routledge); History, the Human, and theWorld Between (Duke UP); Theory in an Uneven World (Blackwell); and Diasporic Mediations: Between Home and Location (U of Minnesota P). In addition to numerous publications in prestigious journals and edited collections and multiple fellowships, he is also a translator of contemporary Tamil fiction into English and a published poet both in English and Tamil, with a volume of poems in Tamil. He is currently completing a series of projects that vacillate between languages and systems of thought.
