Ph.D. Candidate in History, Stefanie Lira, has been awarded a Graduate Student Research Award from the Center for Asian Studies for her dissertation project, "“Mercurial Masculinities: Indigenous and Chinese Laborers in the Early Colonial Philippines." Stefanie will use the award to conduct archival research in Manila in the coming academic year.
