This zoom webinar showcase event celebrates the intergenerational collaboration of UCI alumni, students, and faculty who have contributed to the creation of the Department of Chicano-Latino Studies’ Interdisciplinary Legacies Project. It will feature presentations by participating UCI alumni, students, and faculty, as well as book presentations and discussions by Robb Hernandez and Lydia Otero.

Session I: 9:00 a.m.-10:50 a.m.
Introducing and Celebrating our Interdisciplinary Project Imaginaries
This session will feature project presentations by UC Irvine Undergraduate Student and Alumni Panelists:
Natalie Aguilar,Yareli Cervantes, Ana L. Delgado, Keanu H. Gallardo, Mariana Machaen, Melanie Mendoza, Wendy Ruiz, Alice G. Terriquez, Jacqueline M. Torres, and Jessica Velasquez.
It will also showcase the comments of Faculty Emeriti from the Department of Chicano-Latino Studies, UC Irvine.

Session II: 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Archiving an Epidemic: Art, AIDS, and the Queer Chicanx Avant-Garde
This session will feature Robb Hernandez, Associate Professor, English, Fordham University

Session III: 2:00 p.m.-3:20 p.m.
In the Shadows of the Freeway: Growing Up Brown & Queer
This session will feature Lydia Otero, Associate Professor Emeritus, Mexican American Studies, University of Arizona
