Corinne Lefèvre is CNRS Research Fellow at the Centre for South Asian Studies (Paris). Her research examines the political and cultural history of the Mughal empire and reintegrates it within precolonial Islamic Asia, utilizing a wide array of sources including Indo-Persian literature, paintings, monuments, epigraphy and coins. In the wake of her 2017 monograph (Pouvoir imperial et élites dans l’Inde moghole de JahāngÄ«r (1605-1627), Paris: Les Indes Savantes), Dr. Lefèvre has embarked on a history of the city of Delhi during the 13th-19th centuries.
