A conversation with B.J. Miller, M.D., moderated by Dr. Aaron Kheriaty, UCI School of Medicine

When we speak abstractly about death and dying, what are we really talking about?  To date, so much of our medical discourse suggests that whether we die - whether we must die - is an unsettled matter.  Let’s assume we do and go from there.  In this way, we can get to more interesting and salient questions like, how might I die?  When?  What does my death have to do with my life?  And whose life is this anyway?  Let’s explore these questions and others together.
