Biographies of the Film and Media Studies Student Filmmakers
 

Karina Acosta is a Salvadoran-American filmmaker from the heart of Koreatown, who uses her [free] time taking random trips with family and friends and exploring new places and food wherever she goes. For now, she's working twelve+ hours a day as a Post-Production Assistant.


Lloyd Ea is 4th Year Film and Media Studies Major and DigiFilm Minor at UCI, who loves filmmaking with a passion. He is grateful to everyone who helped him on his journey to become a filmmaker.

Jianxing Liang is a film director and scriptwriter from China. He spends 18 years in China and seeks for a chance to make his own feature film in America.

Grace Pai has graduated from UCI Class of 2018! And is working hard to improve and find work in post-production.

Vito Perez is a 2018 FMS alum inclined towards experimenting with unconventional, awkward cinematography aimed at forcing the viewer to watch the screen more intently.

Sophie Prettyman-Beauchamp is a senior Film and Media Studies major at the University of California, Irvine, originally from the Los Angeles area. After co-directing, producing, assistant directing,and taking on a variety of other positions on set, she wrote and directed her first short film (excluding films she made to entertain herself during her childhood), Snapped, in June 2018. Her second short as a writer-director, Yondo + Hanna Forever, was completed just before the new year. She is currently directing FADA/Zotfest's follow-up to "The Greatest Show at UCI."

Giovanni Rodriguez is a video creator, photographer, and technology enthusiast from Port Hueneme, California.

Mindy Vu is a multidisciplinary artist- dancer, designer, and filmmaker who aims to combine visual and physical artistry in one medium.

Isaiah Walk is an actor, and director, with a love of sharing stories that take simple concepts and make them so much more. His main goal in his film career is to be able to spread his faith through the stories he tells and the way he interacts with everyone on and off set.

Xiaoyue Wang was born in 1996 in China. She studied Film & Media Studies at University of California, Irvine, graduating in 2018. She has written, directed and edited several short films including narrative, documentary and experimental films.
 

Qianxun Xu graduated last year from UCI with a B.S. degree in Mathematics and a B.A. degree in Film and Media Studies. She now works as a Market Analyst for an incubator

Yidan Zhang is an UCI Film and Media Studies student who thinks film makes the world more real.
