Event Details

Join us for a film screening of "Veteran" with celebrated film director Ryoo Seung-Wan followed by a Q&A.

Ryoo Seung-Wan is well known in Korean cinema as both a director and an actor. His independently-produced “Die Bad” (1999), with a budget of only US $60,000, was an instant sensation making Seung-Wan into an instant cult hero. Many of his films since then, “Crying Fist” (2005), “Dachimawa Lee” (2008), “The Unjust” (2010), and “The Berlin File” (2013) continue to experiment with genre formulas while producing rave reviews and high box office returns. His new blockbuster, “Veteran,” was released in the summer of 2015 to strong reviews from Korean and U.S. film critics. Its biting social critique and spectacular performances by two stars, Hwang Jung-min and hallyu star Yoo Ah-in, have been cited for making the film one of the all-time highest-grossing films in history of Korean cinema.

Visitor parking is available in the Mesa Parking Structure for $10.00.
