The Chinese Program at the University of California Irvine is organizing its annual Captain Wong Endowed UCI Chinese Calligraphy Contest to be held on Friday 5/30/2014. This event is open to all students who are currently enrolled in a 1st through 3rd year Chinese language class at UCI. The event aims to promote interest in the study of Chinese language and culture through practice and appreciation of the art of Chinese calligraphy.
This event is supported by a generous endowment established by a local Chinese calligrapher Captain Te Pei Wong. We are also grateful to the co-sponsors and the judges of this event for their support.
