Please join us for our first ‘Works in Progress’ event of the new academic year, presented by Zina Giannopoulou: "Narrative temporalities and models of desire in Plato's 'Symposium'"

The Department of Classics welcomes you to a series of discussions of new scholarship-in-progress by graduate students and faculty.  A text will be available a week in advance, and the author will begin the session with a brief presentation.  The majority of time will be spent in discussion.

A light lunch will be served.  Please rsvp to Tim Adams (tadams@uci.edu) by Tuesday, Nov 3 for catering purposes.
