We are looking for someone who is committed to the Asian and Pacific Islander community and has a passion for making a difference through resource development for APCF and its 29 Affiliate Agencies that provide services to over 250,000 people every year in 27 Asian languages plus English and Spanish in the Greater Los Angeles area.

APCF was founded in 1990 as an alternative fund for donors to directly support Asian and Pacific Islander communities in need. The Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA) need interns/volunteers to serve as positive role models and provide academic assistance to high school aged students in our SOAR Afterschool Program. This program provides youth with a safe environment to receive academic mentoring and support, as well as character education, leadership development, and cultural enrichment. There are several volunteer opportunities available: Academic Mentor – Help students reach their academic goals. Assist with homework in one-on-one and small group settings (min. commitment of 3 hours/week). Internships - Interested in working with youth, Asian and Pacific Islander issues, or the non-profit field? Earn college credits while you gain valuable skills and experience. One Time Volunteer - Attend field trips, assist with special events, present workshops – there are a variety of ways you can volunteer on a one-time basis.
