Professor Emerita Susan Jarratt (Comparative Literature) will lead five sessions in October on "King Lear" at OASIS in Newport Beach. Reading group is free and books are provided. You must register through OASIS; seating is limited.

Susan C. Jarratt is Professor Emerita at the University of California, Irvine. She has studied and taught rhetoric (the arts of persuasion), writing, and literature with a focus on ancient Greek texts. She is interested in exploring the ways gender, race, and class differences in historical contexts appear in literary texts.
