Spotlight Detail

In January, 2017 the Translation Committee of the Society for Classical Studies (SCS) authorized the creation of a Greek and Latin Translation Database to be housed in the UCI School of Humanities. A pilot version of the system has been designed and implemented by Professor Andrew Zissos, in close technical consultation with Dwayne Pack, Director of Computing, Humanities Comp Consulting.

Initial data entry took place in July and August, 2017, performed by Justin Muchnick, a Classics undergraduate student at Stanford University, who worked as an intern over those months. His important contribution to the project was made possible by generous summer funding from the Classics Department at Stanford University.
