Noh, a highly stylized from of theater that integrates music, dance, and chanting with elegant costumes and props, has a continuous tradition of performance that dates back more than 600 years.

For this lecture-demonstration Tatsushige Udaka, lead actor of the Kongo Noh school in Kyoto, will demonstrate Noh’s integration of voice, dance, and poetry to express narrative and emotion.
