Yvette Aparicio (PhD UCI 2000) is professor of Spanish and Latin American studies at Grinnell College. At Grinnell, she teaches contemporary Latin American literature, Latin American studies and Spanish. Her book, Post-Conflict Central American Literature: Searching for Home and Longing to Belong, was published in 2013 by Bucknell UP and
Rowman & Littlefield. Currently she is working on articles on lo cursi in contemporary Central American literature as well as on Salvadoran food and cultural identity.
