SACRED LOS ANGELES: An Art-Photographer’s Vision of the
Religious Life of Her City
by Dorothy Braudy
Over a period of two years, with periodic later interludes, painter and photographer
Dorothy Braudy has taken herself on a photographic tour of selected houses of
worship in Los Angeles, meeting a rich cast of religious characters along the way.
In this informal and personal account of that tour, she will look back and reflect on
what she saw and what it said to her.
