Brea's paper “Witt. Moore Certainty: A Dialogue on Epistemology”, written for Professor Coliva's class Philos 102W "Intro to Epistemology with a writing component", is the winning essay for Excellent Academic Writing in Humanities and Arts.
The award is meant to recognize both the student and the instructor. Brea is the second Philosophy major winner in the last five years. The first one also won with a paper written for Professor Coliva's Philos 102W class.
All winners of this year's UCI Writing Awards will be honored in a virtual ceremony. The event will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
