Thanking Dr. Michael Chegini

We would like to thank Dr. Michael Chegini for his generous and continuous support of UCI Jordan Center for Persian Studies & Culture. It is only with the help of our supporters, such as Dr. Chegini, that we are able to continue our work.

Michael Chegini is a true entrepreneur, inventor, and visionary. Educated from various universities in the U.S., he received his post Ph.D. work/certification from UCI. Having created many companies throughout his career, as an architect and engineer, he has built businesses from the ground up in design, compliance management, energy, and software. The most recent company he created is e-PlanSoft™. e-PlanSoft is a software company created to aid government and permitting agencies in streamlining their plan reviewing processes electronically using Amazon Web Cloud Services and Nvidia’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning technology. e-Plansoft is now used in many governmental agencies throughout northern America, including City of Irvine. Two of his AEC service and energy management companies under Owen Group were recently acquired by Bureau Veritas, a large public company from France.

Over the years he has received more than 30 awards of excellence for his design work, including 8 awards for his work at the UCI Campus, including Cancer Research building, the UCI Science building, Bren Hall building and his latest project, the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute. He also has many technical and White Paper publications and over 11 US patents. Today Mr. Chegini continues to maintain a deep knowledge of the software market as well as the construction industry. He is constantly searching for new methods of innovation that can aid construction industries to streamline the building and infrastructure process through Cloud and AI technology.

Mr. Chegini has also been an activist and a philographer almost in entire his adult life. He has been involved with none-profit organization in USA and has served as a founder, board member or a member. His currently the chairman of Iranian American Community Group of Orange County (IAC), an none profit origination promoting and advocating Persian rich culture in Orange County including the Nowruz Festival at the city of Irvine.
